Keeping your company’s information safe is a priority we hold in high regard. We ensure all records are kept confidential and in accordance with demanding laws such as HIPAA, Graham-Leach-Bliley and Sarbanes-Oxley. InfoStore’s destruction services can securely transport, dispose, and recycle your confidential documents at your office or ours.

Service Overview

InfoStore is compliant to even the strictest security standards of document destruction with:

Offsite Secure shredding facility. InfoStore offers (for reduced rates and with no disruption to your business) offsite shredding at our secure, locked shredding facility. Our security-screened personnel can pick up your information and transport it to our facility for destruction.

At the end of a record’s life cycle InfoStore can provide you with confidential destruction of those obsolete records. Upon written notification, we verify the items to be destroyed and then process the files for destruction using environmentally safe procedures. InfoStore offers certified destruction services for our magnetic and micrographic media customers as well.

Once a client submits a destruction request, InfoStore performs multiple levels of checks, reports and approvals. Any discrepancies are reconciled before any record is actually destroyed.

Records Management and Retention

InfoStore can help you classify and determine how long to store your documents according to corporate policies as well as legal and tax requirements. Our consultants will:

Begin with a physical review of all documents
Conduct personal interviews with members of your staff to determine their information needs
Identify records that should be kept, which can safely be destroyed, and make recommendations to help design a filing system
Help devise a retention schedule (or update an existing one) to manage your records on an ongoing basis
Prepare a comprehensive Records Management Program Manual outlining your records management and retention program (employee training sessions are also available)
Audit and review your records management and retention program on a yearly basis to ensure it is functioning properly and is up to date with changing compliance regulations.

Environmentally Conscious Methods

In an effort to be environmentally aware, InfoStore recycles all records after they have been shredded. Our shredding/recycling process includes:

State-of-the-art destruction equipment. InfoStore has top of the line equipment that reduces the prominent percentage of paper and electronic media by over 90% to a particle size of 5/8 inch wide.
Complete shredding process. Shredding paper fragments are immediately combined with shreds from other companies in 1,100 pound bales and securely transported to a recycling facility.
Proof of Destruction. InfoStore provides customers with a Certificate of Destruction certifying information was properly destroyed and disposed.
Strict operational procedures. As a member of the National Association for Information Destruction (NAID), InfoStore adheres to the highest standards and ethics in the destruction industry.

Secure Shredding Cabinets

InfoStore can shred paper, microfilm, microfiche, x-rays, computer disks, etc. In addition, we can destroy items directly from your office by providing locked cabinets for both paper and non-paper media to be picked up on a regularly scheduled basis. The cabinets come in three convenient sizes:

The 65 and 95 gallon containers are made of molded plastic and the 35 gallon containers are wooden office consoles that are smaller and fit better with most office décor. All have a paper/media slot and a secure, metal locking mechanism that can only be opened by authorized personnel with a key
